Home Depot is offering $3 OFF Energy Efficient LED Light Sets when you trade in your old incandescent lights.  According to their website, prices start at $9.97.  With LED lights you will notice virtually no change in your electric bill as they use a small amount of electricity. 

Bring your old, broken or used incandescent Christmas light strings to any The Home Depot store for recycling, and receive $3 off a single receipt in-store purchase of LED Christmas lights! (limit 5 discounts per customer).

How Lights Are Recycled

  • Each byproduct is independently shredded for separation, returning glass, HDPE plastics, and non-ferrous copper as well as ferrous steel
  • The prepared separated raw materials are then sent to licensed smelters for re-casting or re-molding, all in accordance with local, state and federal statutes
