Eat, Drink, and Be Merry...and Artsy and more
Saturday, April 23rd from 11am to 10pm
Like the Community Service aspect of our two-part Earth Day "extravaganza," the Celebration offers something for everyone. And, by hosting a zero waste celebration, we've got a little something for the planet too. This year, Green Columbus has formed a partnership with ARTillery to bring local art to the celebration; as a result, you'll find opportunities to enjoy, create, or purchase original artwork.Early Bird Alert: limited- edition 2011 Earth Day bags will be given to the first 300 customers (provided by Make Believe Monsters and Vivisect Apparel).
Located on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus just outside of Franklin Park Conservatory, the Celebration is FREE and open to the public (whether or not you were able to volunteer at a worksite). If you were able to participate in an Earth Day 2011: Lighten Up worksite, be sure to bring your token and redeem it for a FREE scoop of Jeni's ice cream OR a FREE Columbus Brewing Company beer. (What's all this about freebies, you say? Click to see all the special benefits registered volunteers enjoy. And, if it's before April 15, you've still got time to sign up and get yours!).
Here's an overview of the different components of the celebration.
